Data Governance Lead
The Data Governance Lead is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the Data Governance framework and operating model (Roles and Processes).
A typical Data Governance Lead will develop procedures to support data accuracy, security, and integrity. This includes maintaining best practices regarding data access and providing expertise, guidance, and support in establishing, operationalizing, and sustaining a data governance program.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates enterprise data management decisions with the Data Governance Council.
- Holds accountable the Data Governance team for prioritizing the company’s data assets first, over individual business line objectives.
- Is accountable for the communication events to relevant stakeholders.
- Aligns the Data Governance Roadmap to enterprise objectives.
- Drives ongoing enterprise data auditing and metrics to assess Data Governance success and Return on Investment (ROI).
- Is the primary point of escalation to the Executive Steering Committee.

- Has some knowledge of the tools and technologies used in the product solution.
- Is a results oriented team player.
- Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understands and is able to articulate the technical and business implications of data management.
- Can work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, including focusing on managing expectations.
- Has the ability to distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand frameworks and presentations.
- Possesses a strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically and build effective business partnerships.
