Introduction

With Informatica’s 360 Engagement, a customer can synthesize data, identify relationships, and deliver business insights using solutions powered by CLAIRE (AI). This provides a strong focus on our industry offerings and helps to drive the delivery of a singular view of business data, simplify and improve supplier information, create personalized customer experiences, and provide rich, accurate, and consistent product information.

Customer360

The Customer 360 Journey provides a trusted, complete, and actionable view of individual and organizational customer data (master data and insights), which is used for analytics and operations to deliver highly personalized experiences across Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, and Operations.

With new business models disrupting the status quo, heightened competition, and increased customer expectations, the ability for an organization to provide a great customer experience and build customer loyalty, while being operationally efficient, is more important than ever. Trusted, relevant, governed, and contextual data is the foundation for a customer experience  strategy.

Informatica's MDM - Customer 360 solutions are our go-to-market approach to a solution for those on the journey to create a trusted, complete, actionable view of all customer data. With a 360-degree view of business-critical customer data and insights, businesses can engage with their customers, prospects, employees, and business partners in more meaningful ways.

Customer 360 allows business users to connect to master customer data through a business-friendly user interface. The user interface can display enterprise-level dashboard reports as well as 360-degree customer views that can be customized for different business personas.

Architecture Patterns

Customer 360 is offered in two deployment options.

  1. Customer 360 is offered on the Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform. The IDMC Customer 360 is integrated with other IDMC services like Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), Reference 360, Cloud Application Integration (CAI), and Cloud Data Profiles to provide a comprehensive business solution.
  2. The Customer 360 Informatica deployment has the customer’s instance of Customer 360 deployed on Informatica-managed servers. Upgrades and server maintenance activities are performed by the Informatica team, while the customer’s business stewards manage the data, and their IT (Information Technology) team controls implementations and process operations.

Reference 360

Informatica Reference 360 (R360) is a cloud-based service that organizations use to create, manage, and govern reference data. Enterprise reference data is considered a subset of master data that is used throughout the organization for various project initiatives. Without managing master reference data sets, different business units in the organization use siloed copies of reference data which can lead to inconsistent delivery of data to the business.

Organizations manage reference data in various forms. Reference data can be stored as lookup values in RDBMS (relational database management system), code values in spreadsheets, or as hard-coded drop-down values in IT applications. Reference data is typically low in volume, is non-changing, and can be hierarchical. Reference 360 is a purpose-built flexible solution to manage enterprise-wide reference data in a single cloud platform that can be easily accessed, governed, and shared across the organization.

Architecture Patterns

While Reference 360 is only available in the Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform, there are different ways to integrate with other cloud or on-premises services.

  1. R360 is built and provisioned on the Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform. Data in R360 can be extracted in multiple ways. To automate and operationalize the data load from R360 and MDM lookup tables, Informatica CAI or CDI is leveraged. CAI initiates GET API (Application Programming Interface) calls to R360 to extract the initial load or incremental load of reference data. In consuming systems such as C360, CAI initiates POST API calls to MDM Business Entity Services (BES) to load the reference data into C360 tables. As a best practice, initial bulk data from R360 can be exported as a flat file. An ETL platform database connection can be leveraged to load the bulk data into C360 tables.
  2. Informatica's Data Quality platform is embedded to integrate the Reference data between R360 and C360. An on-premises DQ platform can initiate a Web Service GET call to R360 to extract the initial bulk data and incremental data from R360. DQ can initiate POST calls to the on-premises C360/MDM BES services to load the reference data into C360 tables. A DQ platform database connection can be leveraged to load the bulk data into C360 tables.
  3. When there are many consuming systems, such as C360, a data lake and an ERP, Informatica’s Data Integration Hub (DIH), Cloud Integration Hub (CIH) or other enterprise-scale data distribution platforms can publish data to subscribers on demand, eliminating tightly-coupled, point-to-point integrations and encouraging reusability, with a hub-and-spoke architecture that can leverage both CAI and CDI as needed.

Supplier 360

Supplier 360 enables supply chain organizations to transform their supplier relationship management by turning inaccurate, restrained, or disconnected supplier information into trusted, governed, relevant, and authoritative data to fuel business and analytical applications. It provides a flexible ecosystem where everyone can access relevant information and manage vendors, their relationships, and the products and services they supply.

Key features include:

  • The provision of a self-service registration portal and product catalog uploads
  • Integrated Data Quality and an enhanced supplier onboarding experience
  • Management and governance tools that allow experts to curate supplier information
  • Provision of a single supplier information location to feed external applications
  • The ability to monitor and analyze suppliers using dashboards

Supplier 360 is seamlessly embedded with Informatica MDM Product 360 for product upload and product information management and as a single application for all supplier interactions.

Architecture Patterns

Supplier 360 is offered in three deployment options.

  1. Supplier 360 is offered in the IDMC platform with defined MDM capabilities. The IDMC Supplier 360 is integrated with other IDMC services like CDI, CDQ, R360, CAI, and Cloud Data Profiles to provide a comprehensive business solution.
  2. The Supplier 360 Informatica Hosted deployment has the customer’s instance of C360 deployed on Informatica-managed servers. Upgrades and server maintenance activities are performed by the Informatica team, while the customer’s business stewards manage the data, and the customer’s IT team controls implementations and process operations.
  3. The Supplier 360 On-Premises deployment resides on customer-controlled servers. The servers can be physical or virtual. Installations and upgrades are performed by customer resources and either internal or external consultants.
