The Data Exchange Developer is responsible for the design, development and deployment of B2B Data Exchange objects and workflows. Typical projects can have more than one Data Exchange developer for scale as the main development resource pool for the solution.
Responsibilities
- Uses Informatica B2B Data Exchange to design the solution and develop workflows, applications, endpoints, profiles etc.
- Designs and develops data exchange real time and batch processes to facilitate cross enterprise data interchange.
- Develops workflow parameterization using profile parameters and partner and account attributes.
- Develops integration workflows with real time JMS sources and targets to orchestrate B2B business flow.
- Designs and develops communication components related to file transfer outside the firewall.
- Uses B2B Data Exchange transformations to appropriately leverage the DX event model and enrich the details captured in the event.
- Understands data flow to and from the enterprise to external entities and designs business processes to facilitate the same.
- Participates in design and development reviews.
- Participates in system/integration/trading partner testing tasks.
- Provides technical documentation for the data exchange components and data flows.
- Works with system owners and operators to resolve systems issues and to refine data exchange flows as needed.
- Conducts QA reviews.
- Performs production migrations of the components developed.
- Authors and maintains unit test documents.
Qualifications/Certifications
- Excellent understanding of data integration in general and real-time concepts using JMS.
- Excellent understanding of the B2B Data Exchange product and knowledge of B2B Data Exchange transformations and their uses.
- Good understanding of messaging concepts such as correlation.
- Knowledge of appropriate message formats such as EDI, HIPAA, SWIFT and any related validation rules.
- Possesses excellent communication skills.
