After completing prerequisites, initiate the CDI-PC domain migration by executing the installer and registering the domain within IDMC Services.
See the CDI-PC service home page below:
Learn how to install the various components of CDI-PC, ensuring a smooth setup and seamless integration into your data environment. This path guides you through each installation step for effective configuration and optimal performance.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of how to register your CDI-PC domain within Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Services, enabling seamless integration and management.
Complete post-migration tasks such as domain registration, updating environment variables, and configuring service properties to finalize the migration process.
Explore the complete process of installing the CDI-PC client, establishing a connection to the domain, and configuring and executing tasks effectively within the CDI-PC environment.
Identify and resolve common issues encountered in the CDI-PC domain with guidance on error types, troubleshooting steps, and tips to maintain smooth operation.
Learn how to apply, schedule, and monitor necessary updates for your CDI-PC domain to ensure it remains current, secure, and optimized for performance.
Once the domain has been successfully migrated to the cloud environment and fully deployed on CDI-PC, ensure the below are intact as part of the post-upgrade check:
- Secure Agent is up and running
- CDI PC Domain, PC services are up and running
- CDI PC Thick client is connecting to the CDI PC Domain
- Execute a few workflows in CDI PC to ensure smooth execution without any issues.
Monitor your CDI-PC domain within IDMC Services by viewing domain details, tracking status, and synchronizing licenses between the domain and the cloud.
- Administrator Guide: Navigate the Administrator tool for managing, configuring, and monitoring the CDI-PC domain, including its architecture, nodes, services, high availability, and connections.
- Security Guide: Enable security features by configuring authentication protocols like LDAP and SAML, managing users and groups, and controlling access via permissions and roles.
For disaster recovery, clone or replicate the registered domain by executing the restore command with the argument(-cdr) option.
Eg: ./infasetup.sh restoreDomain -da <db_address> -du <username> -dp <pwd> -ds <db_service_name> -dt <db_type> -bf <backup_file> -cdr true
This allows both the original and backup domains to be registered to the same POD, ensuring continuity and recovery.
