Data profiling is the process of examining, analyzing, and creating useful summaries of data. The process yields a high-level overview which aids in the discovery of data quality issues, risks, and overall trends. Data profiling produces critical insights into data that companies can then leverage to their advantage. When you run a profile in Informatica Analyst or Informatica Developer, the Data Integration Service stores the profile results in the profiling warehouse. To view these results in EDC, you can create an Informatica Data Quality resource in Catalog Administrator and associate the profiling warehouse to the resource.
