Data transfer tasks allow you to move data from a source, such as an on-premises database, to a target like a cloud data warehouse, with options to enhance data by integrating additional lookup sources. These tasks can also sort and filter data based on the source connection before loading it to the target, ensuring flexibility and adherence to specific data handling requirements.
Use a Dynamic mapping task to create and batch multiple jobs using a single parameterized mapping, reducing asset management complexity. This approach enables the configuration of different parameter values for each job within the task, along with the ability to organize jobs in groups and set execution order.
Mapping tasks in data processing allow users to apply predefined data flow logic from an existing mapping or template to manipulate and manage data effectively. These tasks are configurable with both preset and user-defined parameters to enhance the flexibility and specificity of data handling during runtime.
SQL ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) involves transferring raw data directly into a target database or data warehouse, where the transformation is then performed using SQL queries. This method leverages the processing power of the target system, allowing for more efficient handling of large datasets and complex transformations.
Orchestration
- Easy external integration with end-to-end automation and orchestration
- Address production challenges by operationalizing complex workflows involving third-party application services
Solution Capabilities
Easy:
- Uber orchestration with support for all types of activities, for any orchestration pattern
- Orchestrate Informatica data pipeline and 3rd party API-based orchestration like dbt, Python, Azure ADF, Glue, Airflow, Prefect, ML Models with Taskflows
Efficient:
- Automate business processes with human intervention through Human workflows
- Orchestrate complex business processes and automate them with built-in capabilities
Cost-effective:
- The industry’s best data pipeline and process orchestration, providing up to a 9x increase in process efficiency and productivity.
Taskflow
A Taskflow allows control over the execution sequence of tasks, supporting parallel runs, advanced decision-making, and timing, enabling complex orchestrations.
Test Data Management (TDM) facilitates the effective handling and security of nonproduction data within an organization, integrating seamlessly with tools like PowerCenter and PowerExchange. It allows for the creation of reduced-size copies of production data with sensitive information masked, discovery and masking of sensitive test data columns, and centralized storage for easy management and alteration of test datasets.
