Overview

To build and analyze data lineage across catalog sources, assign or unassign objects from catalog sources to specific connections based on your requirements.

Connection assignments specify how objects in a catalog source can be related to matching objects in another catalog source. When you perform a sync job on an ETL catalog source, the Metadata Command Center extracts connections from the ETL catalog source and creates a reference catalog source. A reference catalog source indicates that it contains references from other source systems along with the source and target tables mapping.
