SharePoint Online connection with Microsoft EntraId Authentication in CDI

Overview
The SharePoint Online Connector enables seamless integration with Microsoft SharePoint Online within the Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI) platform. It allows users to read and write data to SharePoint Online through synchronization tasks, mappings, and mapping tasks by leveraging the Microsoft SharePoint Online API. The connector supports various operations - including Read, Insert, Update, Delete, Data Preview, and Lookup - for objects such as Lists and Document Libraries. It is compatible with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Pre-Requisites
- Role Requirements: The applicative user must be a Global Administrator or SharePoint Administrator in the Microsoft 365 tenant. These roles are required to register applications in Azure Active Directory and configure necessary API permissions.
- Access to Postman (or similar tool): For token generation during the authentication setup.
- Configured Secure Agent: The Secure Agent must have appropriate directory paths configured (e.g., Attachment_File_Path) for file download and upload tasks.

- Integrate in mapping to read and write the content from SharePoint System.
Outcome
- Create a SharePoint Online connection with Entra ID in IDMC and use it to read and write SharePoint content in mappings.
- Administrator: Grant permission for the OAuth App to use the SharePoint Rest API to read and write the data.
