It can be time-consuming to search millions of assets in CDGC, the search interface helps you quickly find the assets you’re looking for let’s say your business user who wants to discover assets in the organizations CDGC start with a simple search as you click inside the search bar suggestions of keyword and phrases appear, you can use these suggestions to start discovering,
When we search for a wild card “*” this will return all available assets in the CDGC, you can use filters to refine the search, for example, we can filter on tables columns business assets there will be a filter option for each asset type which is available in the CDGC environment.
There is additional filters which will dynamically appear for further filtering on catalog source type, created by, created on, and updated by options too.
Once we click on the assets, we can preview the asset details in the right pane without opening the asset.
In the search box when you start typing your query we will be able to see suggestions below which will reflect the search if not continue to search for a specific asset.
Search offers a wide range of opportunities to view the assets which are available in CDGC, there is an option to export the search results by searching the asset of choice and clicking on the grid option in the search to provide functionality to export the assets and view.
