Overview

Salesforce PushTopic events, part of the Streaming API, provide near real-time notifications about changes to Salesforce data matching a defined SOQL query. This enables external systems and applications to stay synchronized with Salesforce data without the need for continuous polling.

This push-based, publish/subscribe mechanism delivers updates to clients whenever data meeting specific criteria is created, updated, deleted, or undeleted.

In Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI), you can invoke processes directly in response to PushTopic messages from Salesforce. This is achieved by using the Salesforce App Connection within CAI to automate workflows based on these real-time events.
