Reverse Previously Applied Access Policies
Design, develop, test, document, and deploy a data unmasking solution in Cloud Data Access Management.
Key activities include:
(i) reviewing the existing access policies that govern data masking or protection to understand the rules applied
(ii) defining the overall approach and architecture for the unmasking solution (e.g. identifying the data sources, determining how masking is applied, and designing the logic for reversing the masking based on user roles and permissions)
(iii) developing or modifying data integration mappings that include transformations designed to reverse the masking or protection using an access policy transformation that applies the appropriate unmasking logic based on user roles or permissions
(iv) configuring the access policy transformation with the correct policies and credentials to ensure only authorized users can unmask the data
(v) validating the mapping and transformation to ensure that data is correctly unmasked
(vi) documenting the unmasking process and providing training to relevant support and operational teams
(vii) planning and executing the deployment or migration of the unmasking solution from lower environments to the production environment, ensuring all configurations and policies are correctly applied
• Customer to confirm completion of compliance requirements and necessary approvals as per Customer’s privacy policies for handling sensitive data and unmasking procedures (e.g. compliance training for Informatica resources, approval to access data, etc.)
• Customer to provide access to the relevant data sources and Intelligent Data Management Cloud environments
• Customer to provide a list of relevant support and operational team members and ensure their availability for training
• Data integration mappings developed and validated to correctly apply and reverse data masking based on user roles, permissions and classifications
• Unmasking process validated and deployed in Customer's production environment
• Access management design documentation
• Unmasking process test results
• Knowledge transfer documentation
