MDM Requirements & Discovery
Applicable to the following IDMC solutions: Master Data Management SaaS – Customer 360, Master Data Management SaaS – Supplier 360, Master Data Management SaaS – Product 360, or Multidomain Master Data Management SaaS.
Applicable to the following on-premise solutions: Master Data Management – Customer 360, Master Data Management – Supplier 360, Master Data Management – Product 360, or Multidomain Master Data Management.
Identify and analyze Customer's needs, objectives, and requirements to implement the applicable Master Data Management (MDM) or MDM SaaS solution.
Complete an initial discovery aimed to establish and document business and functional requirements for the MDM or MDM SaaS initiative.
Understand the capabilities of the MDM or MDM SaaS solution, build an implementation roadmap aligned to business objectives identified by Customer, lead discovery sessions and define the high-level implementation plan coupled with recommendations for the Customer’s change management strategy and communications plan to support the initial roll-out.
• IDMC has been provisioned by Customer (MDM SaaS only)
• Server or virtual machine provisioned by Customer and made available for installation of Secure Agent (MDM SaaS only)
• Customer has the software license for the applicable on-premise MDM solution (MDM only)
• Customer has provisioned and configured the necessary hardware and integrated it with their network (MDM only)
• Customer to provide a list of stakeholders who need to be involved in the discovery sessions, including business users, IT staff, and executives and ensure their availability
• Customer to provide initial data inventory, including basic information about current data sources, systems, and processes in use
• Customer to provide documented business objectives that the MDM or MDM SaaS solution is expected to support, including KPIs
• Customer to provide documented business requirements
• Customer to provide access to source data, including connection details, user accounts, table definitions, etc.
• Customer to identify key data management challenges that Customer is facing
• Understanding of business objectives
• Enhanced alignment of stakeholders
• Identification of architectural needs, including data model, integration, security, and scalability for one (1) domain
• High-level change management strategy
• High-level MDM or MDM SaaS business roll-out plan definition
• Functional Requirements Document
• High-level architecture and integration diagrams
• High-level Change Management Strategy and Communications Plan
• Initial MDM SaaS Project Plan
• MDM or MDM SaaS business roll-out plan document for first two (2) years utilizing the solution

Professional Services Units can be converted into Training Units upon written request submitted to the Customer’s assigned Informatica Delivery Manager. The conversion ratio is one (1) Professional Services Unit to ten (10) Training Units. The converted Training Units can be used for any training currently offered in the Informatica University catalog other than training subscriptions.
