Review Customer's current data governance implementation and provide recommendations with the intent to optimize usage in the following areas, where applicable to the selected data governance solution:
(i) scanner capability usages, such as metadata, profiling, quality, glossary association and data classification
(ii) business metadata content
(iii) CDGC and/or CDQ dashboard and reporting usage (if applicable)
(iv) deployment and use of pre-packaged accelerator content
(v) rules/profiling/scorecard usage and its integration with CDGC and/or CDQ (if applicable)
(vi) CDQ (advanced): address validation, cleansing, and standardization
(vii) CDQ (advanced): matching, deduplication, and consolidation
(viii) automation of metadata collection, quality execution, and insight discovery
(ix) use of profiling to understand data content, structure, and quality
(x) integration with Cloud Data Integration
(xi) automation (e.g. use of scheduling, parameterization, and Application Programming Interface (API)-driven processes)
(xii) performance and scalability
(xiii) data product strategy and CDMP usage (if applicable)
(xiv) production deployment strategy
(xv) cost optimization approaches
• This catalog item requires Customer to engage Informatica to provide the full data governance wellness assessment
• Baseline implementation of applicable data governance solution that is targeted for assessment completed by Customer
• Customer to provide list of its business and technical subject matter experts, program/technical leads (e.g. data governance architects, enterprise architects, platform administrators, Informatica administrators, network administrators, etc.), and executive stakeholders to participate in the assessment work and provide feedback
• Customer to provide temporary administrative access to Intelligent Data Management Cloud platform for Informatica resources performing the Data Governance Implementation Assessment offline
CDGC Outcomes:
• One (1) one-hour metadata review conducted, focusing on tagging consistency across glossary terms and assessing the use of business metadata attributes for improved searchability
• One (1) two-hour session held to review enrichment practices to facilitate easier filtering for end user adoption and better insights discovery, including sensitive data discovery and classifications
• One (1) one-hour session held to review CDGC dashboard for monitoring metadata execution job health and error instances (if applicable)
• Up to three (3) one-hour scanner configuration review sessions conducted
• One (1) one-hour session held to review recommendations for customized dashboard configurations intended to align with key performance indicators that provide operational metrics like lineage scope, usage trends, profiling frequency, and glossary alignment
• One (1) one-hour session held to review integration of automation tools (e.g., pre-configured scanner lineage setups) intended to expand reporting coverage for data observability needs
• One (1) one-hour session to go over the production deployment strategy and steps
CDQ Outcomes:
• One (1) two-hour session to review data quality rule design, focusing on standardization, reusability, and complexity
• One (1) two-hour session to assess the effectiveness of data profiling and scorecard configurations for monitoring key data elements and critical data quality dimensions
• One (1) one-hour session to review the use of CDQ dashboards and reporting for tracking data quality metrics and identifying areas for improvement
• Up to three (3) one-hour sessions to review the configuration of data quality mappings and task flows, including error handling and performance tuning
• One (1) one-hour session to review recommendations for creating custom reports and dashboards that align with key performance indicators and provide operational metrics on data quality issue remediation
• One (1) one-hour session to review the integration of automation through scheduling, parameter files, and API calls to streamline data quality processes
• One (1) one-hour session to go over the production deployment strategy and best practices for managing data quality assets
CDMP Outcomes:
• One (1) two-hour session to evaluate the existing foundational CDMP setup, business alignment, and marketplace user role definitions to identify governance gaps
• One (1) two-hour session to audit current CDMP data categories, terms of use, and delivery templates to ensure they meet organizational standards
• Up to 4 (four) one-hour sessions to assess how existing CDMP data collections are packaged, enriched, and discovered, providing hands-on recommendations for improvement
• One (1) one-hour session to evaluate the end-to-end CDMP consumer journey, auditing the search experience, checkout approval workflows, and fulfillment bottlenecks
• One (1) one-hour session to identify opportunities to use CDMP REST APIs to automate repeatable, manual marketplace activities and integrate with external systems
• One (1) one-hour session to analyze current CDMP usage metrics and deliver a prioritized roadmap of recommendations to scale marketplace maturity
• Recommended actions intended to optimize Customer's data governance implementation
