Data Ecosystem Use Case Analysis and Prioritization
Applicable to: (i) Cloud Data Integration (CDI), (ii) CDI and Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), or (iii) Cloud Application Integration (CAI).
Analyze identified business use cases and develop tangible technical use cases for the applicable solution(s), focusing on automation, resourcing, and cost optimization.
Key activities include:
(i) conducting a high-level analysis of business processes
(ii) identifying prerequisites and defining roles and responsibilities for use cases
(iii) reviewing cloud data strategy with high-level data flows
(iv) evaluating high-level data process diagrams
(v) reviewing and validating source-to-target mapping documentation
• Understanding obtained of key business drivers, associated initiatives, and other related information for data ecosystem integration
• Business use cases for implementation of CDI, CDI and CDQ, or CAI identified
• Confirmation that Customer's use case can be met with provisioned cloud service subscriptions.
• High-level capture of source and target applications and data stores to be integrated, including those applications targeted for data quality improvements
• Customer apprised of CDI, CDI and CDQ, or CAI capabilities and how they address specific business challenges
• Business use cases analyzed and prioritized, and associated technical use cases defined and prioritized
• One (1) critical technical use case and one (1) associated business use case established for implementation of CDI, CDI and CDQ, or CAI
• Use case prerequisites, dependencies, configurations, and roles and responsibilities identified for design and execution
• High-level data process diagram (e.g., source/target/quality/composition) created, developed, and approved
• Sign off on source-to-target mapping specifications (applications and databases)
• Sign off on data quality additions/processes as part of data ecosystem integration needs
• Intelligent Data Management Cloud Product Availability Matrix prerequisites reviewed
• High-level Use Case Analysis Document, including prerequisites, dependencies, configurations, and a list of roles and responsibilities for the identified use case
• Process flow diagram showing application/database integration, transformations and data quality processes included
