Data Ecosystem Technical Discovery
Applicable to: (i) Cloud Data Integration (CDI), (ii) CDI and Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), or (iii) Cloud Application Integration (CAI).
Understand, assess, and analyze Customer’s existing data ecosystem incorporating needs identified by Customer.
Identify integration sources and targets, as well as any Application Programming Interface (API) or event-based integration requirements, and determine batch and real-time components of the applicable solution(s).
Identify data sources to perform data profiling using CDQ (if applicable).
• Understanding obtained of key business drivers, associated initiatives, and other related information for data ecosystem integration
• One (1) critical technical use case and one (1) associated business use case established for the implementation of CDI, CDI and CDQ, or CAI
• High-level data process diagram (e.g., source/targets/quality/composition) created, developed, and approved by Customer
• Customer to provide source-to-target mapping specifications (applications and databases)
• Customer to provide a list of its resources to be contacts (dependent on the use cases, e.g., database administrator, subject matter expert) for inputs required during consultative session(s) with Informatica, including list of potential data sets to profile with CDQ (if applicable)
• Customer to provide short-term and long-term data management goals
• Understanding obtained of Customer’s data management dependencies across source and target systems and how they map to business use cases
• Data movement strategies on analytical and application ecosystems reviewed by the Customer
• Technical use cases, sources and targets identified
• Customer’s short-term and long-term data management goals reviewed
• Customer apprised of core CDI, CDI and CDQ, or CAI functionality and implementation framework

The conversion ratio is one (1) Professional Services Unit to ten (10) Training Units. The converted Training Units can be used for any training currently offered in the Informatica University catalog other than training subscriptions.
