CIH Use Case Design
Develop and document the technical use case design for a Cloud Integration Hub (CIH) implementation based on the Customer's selected business use case.
This engagement covers the analysis of source and target applications, definition of topics, publications and subscriptions, data flow design, and mapping of CIH capabilities to business requirements.
Key activities include:
(i) conducting a workshop to review and confirm the agreed business use case and integration requirements
(ii) identifying and documenting source and target applications to be registered in CIH
(iii) defining CIH topic(s), including data schema, format, and retention requirements
(iv) designing publication(s): source application, schedule, field mapping, and publication target
(v) designing subscription(s): subscribing application, data filters, field mapping, and subscription target
(vi) identifying prerequisites, dependencies, and roles and responsibilities for execution
(vii) reviewing Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Product Availability Matrix prerequisites
(viii) documenting low-level solution design
The typical workshop schedule is as follows:
• Workshop: 1 meeting (1.5 hours) – limited up to 15 people
• One (1) critical business use case established for CIH implementation
• Confirmation that Customer's critical use case can be met with provisioned IDMC cloud service subscriptions
• Agreed source and target applications, locations, and naming conventions identified
• CIH private or hosted publication repository configured and accessible from IDMC via Secure Agent
• IDMC CIH native user(s) created and validated
• CIH connectivity confirmed end-to-end
• Customer to identify the source and target application subject matter experts and ensure their availability to participate in workshop
• One (1) critical CIH technical use case designed and documented
• CIH applications, topic(s), publication(s), and subscription(s) defined and ready for implementation
• Prerequisites, dependencies, configurations, and roles and responsibilities identified for execution
• IDMC Product Availability Matrix prerequisites reviewed
• CIH Use Case Design Document (including applications, topic definitions, publication and subscription designs, field mapping specifications, and roles and responsibilities)
