CDI Cost Optimization Strategies
Identify strategies for Cloud Data Integration (CDI) cost optimization.
Key activities include:
(i) identifying unused or underutilized CDI services
(ii) evaluating Informatica licensing and suggesting potential cost- saving opportunities
(iii) assessing if CDI mappings are designed with efficient IPU consumption in mind
Note: This activity is limited to ten (10) data integration mappings.
The typical schedule is as follows:
• Infrastructure meetings to identify opportunities for cost optimization: 1-2 meetings (1.5 hr. each)
• This catalog item requires Customer to engage Informatica to provide the full data integration wellness assessment
• Baseline CDI implementation completed by Customer on target environment for assessment
• Customer to provide list of its technical subject matter experts and program/technical leads (e.g. data integration architects, enterprise architects, platform administrators, Informatica administrators, network administrators, etc.) who are involved in data integration platform administration, licensing and CDI mapping design to participate in the assessment work and provide feedback
• Up to two (2) high value use cases, each comprised of up to five (5) CDI mappings each selected for assessment
• Customer to make available personnel with Intelligent Data Management Cloud console access to the relevant services: Administrator console, Data Integration to participate in the assessment work and provide feedback
• Access to Customer environment to support the assessment and related activities
• Usage of the CDI API reviewed in compliance with Informatica-recommended best practices
• Unused or underutilized CDI services identified and recommendations for action provided, where applicable
• Cost saving opportunities identified and recommendations for action provided, where applicable
• Summary of findings and key recommendations related to CDI cost optimization
Key content includes:
(i) identified unused or underutilized CDI services with recommended action
(ii) Informatica licensing usage and recommendations for cost savings, where applicable
(iii) recommendations for CDI mappings that could benefit from IPU optimization

The conversion ratio is one (1) Professional Services Unit to ten (10) Training Units. The converted Training Units can be used for any training currently offered in the Informatica University catalog other than training subscriptions.
