CDI Connections Assessment
Assess up to ten (10) of Customer's Cloud Data Integration (CDI) connections.
Key activities include:
(i) identifying usage of generic connectors and determining if they are supported by Informatica
(ii) reviewing connections profile and assessing their adherence to Informatca-recommended best practices
(iii) determining if each CDI connection is using supported drivers according to the Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Product Availability Matrix (PAM)
(iv) evaluating if each CDI connection is using supported drivers from the supplier and informing the Customer of risks associated with using outdated/unsupported connectors
(v) reviewing usage of CDI connections, identifying potentially redundant connections, and or duplications
(vi) assessing adherence to naming conventions for CDI connections
The typical schedule is as follows:
• Infrastructure meetings to review Customer's CDI connections: 1-2 meetings (1 hr. each)
• This catalog item requires Customer to engage Informatica to provide the full data integration wellness assessment
• Baseline CDI implementation completed by Customer on target environment for assessment
• Customer to provide list of its technical subject matter experts and program/technical leads (e.g. data integration architects, enterprise architects, platform administrators, Informatica administrators, network administrators, etc.) who are involved in data integration connections management to participate in the assessment work and provide feedback
• Customer to make available personnel with IDMC console access to the relevant services: Administrator console, Data Integration to participate in the assessment work and provide feedback
• CDI design for up to ten (10) data integration mappings reviewed, and opportunities for reusability, parametrization identified, where applicable
• IDMC connections reviewed in accordance to naming conventions, Informatica-recommended best practices in accordance with the IDMC PAM
• Summary of findings and key recommendations related to CDI connections
Key content includes connection profiles and related recommendations on various factors (e.g. compliance with PAM, adherence to naming conventions, duplication or underutilization), where applicable.

Professional Services Units can be converted into Training Units upon written request submitted to the Customer’s assigned Informatica Delivery Manager. The conversion ratio is one (1) Professional Services Unit to ten (10) Training Units. The converted Training Units can be used for any training currently offered in the Informatica University catalog other than training subscriptions.
