CDGC Modernization Utility Deployment
Provide Customer with guidance and inputs to facilitate the installation of the modernization utility.
If applicable, the modernization utility will be deployed in Customer's on-premise infrastructure of the Enterprise Data Catalog (On-Premise EDC) Advanced Scanners (MetaDex) framework. Otherwise, the
modernization utility will be installed in an existing MetaDex environment or on a separate machine with access to Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) and On-Premise EDC or Customer’s on-premise Axon Data Governance and/or Axon Data Marketplace (On-Premise Axon) .
Modernization utility can be leveraged to speed up and automate the migration process by configuring and running migration jobs for On-Premise EDC resources and On-Premise Axon. Available run modes include:
• Dry Run: EDC assessment job
• Axon Only: migrates Axon assets
• EDC Config Only: creates catalog sources with connections
• EDC Load Only: runs scanners
• EDC Config and Load: creates Catalog sources and run scanner
• Enrichments Only: migrates enrichments
• Connection Assignment Only: runs connection assignment jobs to re-create lineage in CDGC
• All: executes all the above EDC migration jobs in sequence (Dry Run, Config and Load, Enrichments Only, Connection Assignment Only) for the specified resources in the job configuration
• On-Premise production EDC infrastructure provided leveraging the existing instance of EDC Advanced Scanners (MetaDex) (if applicable)
• In the event there is no MetaDex environment available and the modernization utility is to be used for migration automation, Customer to provide a dedicated machine and repository database to install new EDC Advanced Scanners (MetaDex) for the purpose of migration and/or assessment
• Customer to review and verify modernization utility prerequisites provided by Informatica are met (e.g. the required EDC Advanced Scanners (MetaDex) minimal version supporting them utility are installed and functioning properly)
• Customer to provide access for Informatica personnel to the production EDC instance with EDC Advanced Scanners (MetaDex) framework available where applicable for automated migration
• Subscriptions or licenses for Informatica products are not included as part of this offering. Customer must have separately obtained subscriptions or licenses for the Informatica products applicable to this offering.
• One (1) iInstance of the modernization utility deployed in one (1) production environment/Org/Sub-org
• Connectivity to On-Premise EDC or On-Premise Axon and CDGC from modernization utility verified

Professional Services Units can be converted into Training Units upon written request submitted to the Customer’s assigned Informatica Delivery Manager. The conversion ratio is one (1) Professional Services Unit to ten (10) Training Units. The converted Training Units can be used for any training currently offered in the Informatica University catalog other than training subscriptions.
