Axon Assessment
Engage Customer's business and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to collaboratively analyze and evaluate the existing on-premise Axon Data Governance and/or Axon Data Marketplace solution deployed by Customer (On-Premise Axon) to define the modernization approach from the On-Premise Axon solution to Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) and Cloud Data Marketplace (CDMP) (if applicable).
Conduct a series of assessment sessions and analysis led by Informatica’s modernization SMEs, leveraging Informatica’s Modernization utility (if applicable).
Because Intelligent Data Management Cloud/CDGC is functionally different from On-Premise Axon in some areas, a prototype may be used to showcase the new cloud services solution to the Customer.
The completed Informatica modernization assessment will determine the estimated duration required.
Note: Unless otherwise mutually agreed, professional services for this offering are provided for a maximum of four (4) weeks.
• Customer to provide On-Premise Axon solution architecture design documents for reference
• Customer to provide access for Informatica personnel to production On-Premise Axon instance
• If applicable, cCustomer to provide access for Informatica personnel to production On-Premise EDC instance with On-Premise EDC Advanced Scanners (MetaDex) framework available
• Modernization utility installed and configured according to Informatica’s instructions (if applicable)
• Customer to provide screen sharing capabilities during the assessment sessions with the assistance of the On-Premise Axon SME and/or On-Premise Axon administrator
• Customer to provide currently identified priorities, general input and expected roadmap for the migration
• Customer to provide a list of its technical stakeholders (admins) and business stakeholders (subject matter experts) and make them available to participate in the assessment workshops
• Up to four (4) assessment workshops (two (2) hours each) held to review the On-Premise Axon data governance module
• Up to one (1) assessment workshop (two (2) hours) held to review the On-Premise Axon data marketplace module
• Asset model translation verified and mapped for data governance and data marketplace modules
• Integration dependencies and potential impact to migration verified and mapped (e.g. Enterprise Data Catalog, Informatica Data Quality, Single Sign On/Security Assertion Markup Language, user roles and privileges)
• Axon versus CDGC capabilities reviewed and discussed with the customer (e.g. business assets, technical assets)
• Custom fields reviewed and documented
• Custom relationships reviewed and documented
• Stakeholders reviewed and documented
• Workflows reviewed and documented
• Other customizations discussed and documented
• Understanding obtained of Customer's key business drivers, associated initiatives, and other related information for On-Premise Axon
• Business use cases for modernization implementation identified and prioritized
• Customer apprised of software/cloud service capabilities and functionality in an effort to address specific business challenges
• Axon Modernization Assessment Summary, including:
(i) modernization utility output generated in (DryRun mode– (if applicable)
(ii) asset types and quantity inventory with CDGC mapping
(iii)asset types and quantity inventory with CDMP mapping
(iv)modernization plan and level of effort estimates
(v)modernization approach and current state

Professional Services Units can be converted into Training Units upon written request submitted to the Customer’s assigned Informatica Delivery Manager. The conversion ratio is one (1) Professional Services Unit to ten (10) Training Units. The converted Training Units can be used for any training currently offered in the Informatica University catalog other than training subscriptions.
