EDC Enabling Email Notification
Enterprise Data Catalog generates different types of notifications when changes are made to assets that you follow. The notification types include application notifications, change email notifications, and digest email notifications. If you follow a resource, you receive notifications for changes made to any asset that the resource contains.
In Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), notification settings can be configured so that Enterprise Data Catalog sends email notifications whenever there is a change to the asset that follows. You can choose to configure email notifications to receive emails on every change or at different notification frequencies, such as daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Configure and enable the Email Service in the Informatica Administrator.
- Select the Enable Email Notifications for Asset Changes option in the Catalog Service properties of the Informatica Administrator.
- Provide a valid email ID in the Properties section for the user in the Informatica Administrator.
- Understand the types of Notification in EDC
- Understand how to trigger an email notification when a resource scan fails.
- Understand how to enable email notification for asset changes in the Catalog service, with Demo.
- Understand the overall process involved in enabling notification for any changes to be notified regarding your assets and resource scans.
