Overview
One of the essential practices in Software development is CD/CD [Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment]. It helps to enable faster delivery of features and fixes, collaborated efforts, and a reliable automated deployment process.
IDMC Supports various GIT tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, Atlassian BitBucket, and GitLab [Product doc can be referred to get the latest supported GIT Tools]. In IDMC, using Source Control REST APIs and APIs from respective GIT applications, CI/CD can be implemented.
Pre-Requisites
- Knowledge of GIT Tools. For example, GitHub (push, pull, merge, admin)
- Knowledge of the GitHub structure (Branches)
- Knowledge of the IDMC Source Control feature
- Users should have admin level privileges in IDMC for configuring the tokens and GIT Details like PAT tokens.
- Knowledge of IDMC Source Control REST APIs and GIT Tool APIs if any.
