Overview
The Amazon S3 Connector enables integration between Data Integration and Amazon S3, allowing you to read and write delimited files. You can create Amazon S3 connections for use in synchronization tasks, mappings, and mapping tasks to move or process data.
Amazon S3 is a cloud-based store that stores many objects in one or more buckets. You can also connect to Amazon S3 buckets available in Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) through VPC endpoints.
Informatica recommends using the Amazon S3 V2 Connector for handling Avro and Parquet file formats in mappings.
Pre-Requisites
- Need an active AWS account with access to an existing S3 bucket
- Valid AWS access key ID and secret access key with appropriate permissions
- Network access from the IICS Secure Agent to Amazon S3 (including VPC endpoint configuration if applicable)
